Some Stuff About Me (in no particular order):

  • I love the ocean. Someday I will live closer to it.
  • I laugh a lot. Often at really weird names I make up for my husband.
  • I grew up in Niagara Falls, NY.
  • I love chocolate. Especially handcrafted, not-too-sweet, dark chocolate truffles with complex layers of flavors.
  • I'm totally a seeker.  I've lost track of the programs and trainings I've done - from a Master's Degree to a 16-month shamanic training program to Holotropic Breathwork to several types of hands-on-healing - and everything in-between. And I doubt I'll ever stop. My next plan includes the possibility of becoming a minister ordained through the Agape International Spiritual Center.
  • I believe we are each being guided on our path and only need to listen and surrender. (Easier said than done, I know.)
  • I'm 5' 2" tall. (Until 2012 I used to measure just 5 feet tall. I don't know what happened. Maybe getting aligned with your truth makes you grow taller.)
  • I'm a recovering perfectionist.
  • I'm obsessed with rose flavored tea, soda, chocolate etc. -- and love to treat myself to a bouquet of light pink roses on occasion. Come to think of it, I should do that more often...
  • I helped to start a school where all day, every day kids get to be completely in charge of their lives, their education, and how they spend their time. (www.sudburyschool.org) Other than having two amazing boys, this is the thing I am proudest of.
  • I sometimes secretly wish I was a dancer.
  • I'm usually in the middle of at least 5 books at once. Almost always non-fiction.
  • I used to be a very rational agnostic.
  • I was a Molecular Genetics major during my first two years at college. I switched to psychology after a little voice told me that fiddling with DNA wasn't going to help people be happier. Seriously, I actually heard a voice.
  • I've known since I was 20 that I wanted to work with women in ways that helped them (us) know how awesome they (we) are.
  • I watch more TV than I feel like I "should" (and I wish Project Runway was on every single day.)
  • I'm working on giving up "shoulds".
  • I am immensely grateful every single day that I get to do this amazing work with people just like you! Like, "blows my mind" grateful...
